AUGMENTED REALITY GAME DESIGN

PROJECT OVERVIEW
Bajibot partnered with Yahoo! Creative Studio (former Ryot New York) to create a simple but engaging AR game that features zero barriers of entry for anyone with a smartphone to be able to launch and experience this little game experience. in order to promote the awareness of the new McDonald s Canadian MyRewards App, we challenge players to launch eight 3D McDonald's favorite items into their space using web augmented reality technology (using the 8thWall engine), and within 30 seconds players need to find all eight AR items in order to win.

GAMEPLAY
All users were driven from Yahoo s US and Canada media outlets to the landing page designed by Bajibot, from there it's just a simple tap to launch the AR game, or if the user is on a desktop browser, it s also a simple scan of a QRC using their phone to launch the experience. The game can be experienced in both English and Canadian French language. At the end of the game. whether you win or lose, by downloading the McDonald's MyRewards Canada App, users can redeem free points that can be put towards McDonald s purchases.

THE RESULTS
It is true when they say "less is more." With the goal to drive awareness of the new McDonald's Canada MyRewards App. The AR scavenger hunt game was a successful one, it offers users a quick, fun, and positive brand awareness, and provides enough incentives for everyone to earn those reward points. The campaign had over 12K users in 2 weeks.
